Torani Syrups & Sauces Usage

Torani’s fruit flavored syrups contain similar acids as those found in real fruit, which can cause milk to curdle. While this may not look great, it is a natural occurrence and does not affect the flavor. A popular technique in coffeehouses is to add Torani Syrup to the coffee first, and then pour the milk. The coffee dilutes the acidity of the syrup so the milk can remain creamy good. Don’t have time for a chemistry lesson? Then try one of Torani’s Dairy Friendly Fruit flavors like Orange, Red Raspberry, Sugar Free Red Raspberry, or Blue Raspberry in your milk based drinks. We’ve reduced the acidity for you, so you can just pour and mix however you’d like.

The shelf life of our regular syrup in glass bottles is three years from the date of manufacture. The shelf life of sugar free products is two years from that date. And, for any Torani Syrups in plastic (PET) bottles, the shelf life is two years.

For sauces, the recommended shelf life is one year from the date of manufacture. For Puree Blends, the recommended shelf life is two years from the manufacture date.

Torani Flavored Syrups do not need to be refrigerated. They should be stored between 35°F and 85°F. Basically, don’t freeze them or get them too hot. Follow that rule and they will be delicious. The only Torani products that should be refrigerated after opening are Torani Sauce 16oz bottles and Torani Real Fruit Smoothie mix.

You should use your sauce within 4 - 5 weeks once opened. After that, the product quality may begin to decline.

This highly depends on how the bottles are stored. Many variables, such as temperature, sunlight, and air contact can affect colour, flavour, aroma, and overall quality. Keep this in mind: our syrups are made to last a long time even after they are opened.

Yes! All Torani bottles are recyclable. That goes for glass, PET, and anything else. Glass is highly recyclable and PET is the #1 easiest plastic to recycle. However, it’s always a good idea to check with your local city waste service for local guidelines if you have questions about how to recycle our products – or anyone’s products.
